TickerPal · Guides · Market close
TickerPal can recap the names you actually follow: a command you run on demand, weekday DMs at open, midday, or close, and optional alerts when a name moves a set percent from the prior close.
Look up a symbol the same way you would for a quote, then tap Add to Watchlist on the card:
/ticker AAPL/ticker NVDA/ticker BTCUSD/ticker watchlist shows what you follow and lets you turn recap times on or off. /ticker unfollow AAPL removes a symbol. Watchlists are per person in the workspace, so each teammate can track a different list.
Type /ticker report when you want a snapshot of those names. That is useful before the open, at lunch, or if you missed the afternoon recap. Recaps lead with the day's movers, then full quote cards for those names; names that barely moved are listed in one line.
Close recaps after 4pm Eastern are on by default when you add a symbol. From /ticker watchlist you can also enable:
Times are US market hours, Monday through Friday. Turn any of them off the same way. If a recap does not arrive, confirm the app is still installed, that the time is on, and that the symbol is still on /ticker watchlist.
If a followed stock reports earnings in the next few sessions, that date shows on the recap. Monday mornings at 8:30am Eastern, TickerPal also DMs a this-week earnings note when something on your list reports.
If you want a ping when a followed name moves, set a threshold instead of waiting for a clock:
/ticker alerts 5
TickerPal checks during US market hours and DMs you if that name has already moved 5% (or 2% / 10% from the watchlist buttons) versus the prior close. Each symbol alerts at most once per day. /ticker alerts off turns this off.
The same watchlist can hold equities and USD crypto pairs. For lookup syntax, see stock tickers in Slack and crypto prices in Slack.
Close recaps, open recaps, and alerts are informational only. Prices may be delayed or incomplete. See the Terms of Service.
