TickerPal uses a small number of third-party companies (“sub-processors”) to operate the Slack app and website. This page is our public list of those providers and the guidelines we follow when we engage them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. Guidelines

Before we send Customer Data to a sub-processor, we require that:

  • The provider is needed to run the Service (hosting, storage, market data, billing, or email).
  • The provider may use Customer Data only to perform that service for TickerPal, not to sell it or use it for their own marketing.
  • Data in transit is encrypted with TLS.
  • We share the minimum data required. Market-data providers receive ticker symbols, not Slack workspace names, messages, or user emails.

Slack is the platform customers use to install TickerPal. Slack is not a TickerPal sub-processor; your use of Slack is covered by Slack’s own terms and privacy policy.

2. Current sub-processors

Infrastructure used to host the Slack app and store Customer Data:

  • Google LLC (Google Cloud, Cloud Firestore, Firebase) — United States. Hosts the app, API, and website; stores Slack workspace IDs, Slack user IDs, OAuth tokens, watchlist ticker symbols, website accounts, and operational logs.

Providers used to fulfill a /ticker quote. They receive the requested symbol (and related public market data), not Slack identifiers:

  • Alpha Vantage — United States. Stock quotes and company metrics.
  • CryptoCompare — United Kingdom. Cryptocurrency prices.

Website-only providers (not required to use the Slack slash command):

  • Stripe — United States. Paid TickerPal website plans and payment details.
  • SendFox — United States. Newsletter sign-ups submitted on tickerpal.com.

3. Changes

If we add, replace, or remove a sub-processor, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Material changes that affect how Customer Data is processed will also be reflected in the Privacy Policy. You can stop using the Service by uninstalling TickerPal from Slack or by emailing us as described below.
