These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TickerPal Slack application and website (collectively, the "Service") provided by TickerPal ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
TickerPal is a Slack application that provides real-time stock, cryptocurrency, and currency price information via the /ticker slash command. The Service retrieves data from third-party financial data providers and delivers it within your Slack workspace.

TickerPal is not a financial advisor. The information provided by the Service is for informational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other sort of advice. You should not treat any of the Service’s content as such. TickerPal does not recommend that any securities, cryptocurrencies, or currencies should be bought, sold, or held by you. Nothing on this Service should be taken as an offer to buy, sell, or hold any security or cryptocurrency. Do your own due diligence and consult your financial advisor before making any investment decisions.
Price data is provided by third-party sources and may be delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete. TickerPal makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any financial data.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Use automated means to make excessive requests to the Service beyond normal usage patterns.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without prior written consent.
4. Account and Access
Access to the Service requires installation of the TickerPal Slack app in your workspace. The workspace administrator who installs the app is responsible for authorizing its use. TickerPal may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of TickerPal. Financial data displayed through the Service is owned by the respective data providers and is subject to their terms of use.
6. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL TICKERPAL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL TICKERPAL’S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO TICKERPAL IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
7. Modifications to the Service and Terms
TickerPal reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
